Processing of Personal Data:
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking tools. Personal data is only processed to the extent described in this privacy policy.
If you contact us via email or our contact form, we process the data you provide (such as your name, email address, and message) solely to handle your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual inquiries) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries). We delete your inquiry once it has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Your Rights:
Providing your personal data is neither legally nor contractually required; however, without it we cannot respond to your inquiry. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent, and objection with regard to your data processed by us. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with us (info@insilicophysics.com) or with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at).

Third-Party Service Providers:
Embedded Videos (Vimeo):
We embed videos from the Vimeo service on our website. The provider is Vimeo.com, Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, NY 10011, USA. When you visit our website, a connection to Vimeo's servers is established. In the process, technically necessary data such as your IP address, browser information, and the page visited are transmitted to Vimeo. We have embedded the videos using the "Do Not Track" parameter, which, according to Vimeo, prevents the setting of tracking cookies and the collection of viewing statistics. If you are logged in to Vimeo, Vimeo may still associate your visit with your account; you can prevent this by logging out beforehand. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting our simulation results in an engaging way (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data is transferred to the USA on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), under which Vimeo is certified. Contact Form (Tally):
When you use our contact form, we process the data you provide (name, email address, message) in order to handle your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual inquiries) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries). The form is provided by Tally BV, August Van Lokerenstraat 71, 9050 Ghent, Belgium, acting as our processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Your data is stored within the EU. We delete your inquiry once it has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply. When the website is loaded, a connection to Tally's servers is established, through which your IP address is transmitted, also if the contact form is not used.
Hosting (GitHub Pages):
This website is hosted by GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit our website, GitHub processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, and browser information, in order to deliver the website and ensure its security. According to GitHub, IP addresses of visitors are logged for security purposes. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable provision of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our email communication is handled via Microsoft 365, a service of Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland, acting as our processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. As our company is based in the EU, our data is stored and processed within the Microsoft EU Data Boundary. In limited cases, for example for security or support purposes, data may be accessed from outside the EU; such transfers are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), under which Microsoft Corporation is certified, and on standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
